30 Scenarios in 30 Days: Jalen Ramsey will return to the Pro Bowl in 2025
The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for the 2025 regular season, but before the real games begin, the team has to head to training camp back at Saint Vincent College in order to fine tune their skills. As we here at SCN prepare you for the start of camp, we give you a series called “30 Scenarios in 30 Days” which gives you a Steelers scenario every day leading up to the start of camp.
It is simple how it works. We provide you the scenario, reasons why it will or won’t happen, and then our prediction for what we think will take place.
Let’s get to the scenario…
Scenario: Jalen Ramsey will return to the Pro Bowl in 2025
Why it will happen: In his nine NFL seasons, Jalen Ramsey has been chosen to the Pro Bowl seven times. The only two years he is missing is his rookie season in 2016 and last year in 2024. There is no issue with name recognition as Ramsey already has the reputation. If he is able to keep up with adequate production, it should be enough to get him selected at minimum as a replacement. While some players aren’t able to match production with a new team, Ramsey is probably better off with the change up as well as coming to a highly touted defense in Pittsburgh.
Why it won’t happen: What is surprising about Ramsey not making the Pro Bowl in 2024 is the fact he arguably played better (and a higher volume) than the previous season when he was selected. Add in the fact he will be turning 31 during the season, there may be some who already feel that is production has slipped to a level below the Pro Bowl standard. Although I could work out great in Pittsburgh, it could just as easily move in the other direction when all factors are considered.
Prediction: With this prediction, is extremely difficult to make prior to training camp. Do we even know exactly what role Ramsey is going to have in the Steelers 2025 defense? Is he going to be an every snap cornerback or is he going to spend some time on the sidelines? Is he playing outside, inside, or is he even potentially going to be filling in at safety? Most of these answers are all speculative until the players are out on the field in Latrobe.
Because I need to make a call, I’m going to say that Ramsey does end up back with Pro Bowl status in 2025. Being First-Team All-Pro, something Ramsey has done three times in his career, would be a big stretch, but making the Pro Bowl is different. If the Steelers defense sees the same or improved results on the field, Ramsey could benefit from this, along with his name recognition, to be selected.

a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, since the 70’s this move trading the Steelers best safety Minkah Fitzpatrick for a washed up CB in Jalen Ramsey and take on his contract and trade for more garbage tight end in Jonnu Smith doesn’t make any sense Steelers Omar Khan shuold’ve done this in the 2024 draft or wait for the 2026 draft their are a lot of younger, bigger, quicker, faster and can cover and more physical CB’s and safeties coming out the 2026 N.F.L. draft and you have Cory Trice Jr. who needs a lot of playing time
Well, Pgh needed to replace Parham, and Jonnu’s good at the running and catching. Patience, padawan! Ramsey was just a throw-in.
