Aaron Rodgers has arrived in Pittsburgh to sign with the Steelers
The news of Aaron Rodgers signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers has been public since Thursday, but even though the Steelers themselves posted about the deal, there has always been a caveat.
That caveat was a physical being passed, and Rodgers to be in town to sign on the dotted line of his one-year contract.
Well, for those who might have wondered if Rodgers would be getting to town anytime soon, he has officially landed in the 412 area code and is in to take care of the aforementioned caveat.
This form the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac:

While Rodgers is in town, it doesn’t mean he’ll pass his physical. Is it likely he passes, absolutely, but stranger things have happened throughout the years of NFL teams acquiring free agent talent. Nonetheless, it seems like the formalities of the one-year contract between the Steelers and Rodgers are becoming reality.
Be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the team as they prepare for Mandatory Minicamp next week, then take several weeks off before arriving at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA for training camp.
I misunderstood Fowler from yesterday, then. Thought exam already happened.
Most of it is a formality anyways. He just needs to sign on the dotted line.
He passed his physical and I just saw a picture posted (on DK by Chris Halicke) of him signing his contract. When I saw it at 1:55 PM (Eastern), it said the pic was posted 2 minutes earlier. So, it’s a done deal!
Good to read, SY. Was just watching Matt Williamson’s pod. Don’t often look at Kovacevic’s site. Thank you!
And naturally, Schefter breaks news on AARod’s contract. Time to warm up that spreadsheet, Dave Schofeld! $13.65MM, $10MM guaranteed, $5.85MM in potential bonuses for possibly $19.5MM. Bit less than Fields.
a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, since the 70’s Steeler owner Arthur Joseph Rooney ll and Mike Tomlin is making a very big mistake signing Aaron Rodgers and making Aaron Rodgers the Steelers starting quarterback it’s unfair to Mason Rudolph that’s why Mason Rudolph left in the first place not given Mason Rudolph a chance the staring quarterback position before
C’mon, AARod has human form, and deserves human doubt. (Dune)
