Early line on Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets, Week 1
The NFL 2025 Regular Season schedule was released Wednesday, and in Week 1 a matchup between AFC with plenty of storylines is between Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets in the Big Apple.
Justin Fields will face his former team, and if Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback of the Steelers he too will get to face his former team. Outside of the narratives heading into the game, sportsbooks have already started to put lines out for these early week games.
For Steelers vs. Jets, take a look at the early line on the game (all odds are from the DraftKings Sportsbook):
PIT (-2.5)
TOTAL: 39.5
Moneyline:
Pittsburgh: -142
New York: +120
The Steelers being favored, on the road, in Week 1 seems a bit hasty. It’s a large reason why I wouldn’t suggest anyone putting money down until the Steelers at least know who their quarterback will be when the regular season rolls around. Then again, if Rodgers does sign with the Steelers, and that is a gigantic if, the line might shift more.
Ultimately, a lot can, and will, change before the games actually start, but the Steelers are being favored on the road in Week 1 over the Jets with Aaron Glenn and Justin Fields.
What do you think of the odds? Let us know in the comment section below, and be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for OTAs, minicamp and training camp.
Steelers w/ 58.7% chance to win is hasty, sight unseen. Jets to win w/ 45.5% chance is more reasonable. Pass on both, today. Boy, people are greedy!
Give the NFL schedule makers some credit for potentially lining up Justin Fields vs. Aaron Rodgers in Week 1. That’s a juicy storyline for sure.
a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Justin Fields is to show and prove to Mike Tomlin he should’ve never bench me
Hey, Arthur Smith wanted to keep Fields as QB1.
