Steelers 2025 Mock Schedule
Do you love mock drafts? Do you like seeing the possibilities of what is to come even though the chances of it going down exactly as predicted is almost 0%?
What about 53-man roster predictions? Are those are your thing to get you through the offseason from the draft until training camp?
If these are your thing, then do we have something for you!
Welcome to the 2025 Steelers mock schedule!
With the NFL set to release the 2025 schedule on Wednesday, Dave Schofield and Bryan Anthony Davis take a shot at predicting all 18 weeks of the Steelers 2025 season. Why would we take on such a ridiculous task with such a low chance of success rate? Does it really matter that we only have a 1 in 6.4 quadrillion chance of getting all 18 weeks correct? It doesn’t stop mock drafts for 2026 from being released, so we are taking our shot. Special games such as Monday Night Football (MNF) will be designated as well.
Week 1
Dave: @New York Jets
Bryan: @New York Jets (MNF)
The only AFC team that the Steelers have never faced in Week 1 is the Jets. With Justin Fields expected to be commanding the Jets huddle and the Aaron Rodgers possibility, this seems about right. It just makes sense to do it on opening weekend, hence why we both chose this game. Are we really going to argue over Sunday or Monday?
Week 2
Dave: Cincinnati
Bryan: Indianapolis
Bryan likes a nice, low-key opener for the Steelers with not much flash to it while Dave wants to see the AFC North matchups not all compressed at the end of the season.
Week 3
Dave: @ Chicago
Bryan: @Cleveland (TNF)
Dave what’s a low-key matchup before leaving the country. The NFL likes to schedule the Steelers and Browns in prime time at the “Mistake” and this would be a gift of extra time to lead into Week 3.
Week 4
Dave: Minnesota (Ireland)
Bryan: Minnesota (Ireland)
This is the only date that has been reported, and the Vikings have been the leaked opponent for the Steelers to host at Croke Park. This seems like a lock.
Week 5
Dave: BYE
Bryan: BYE
This is what the NFL likes to do, give teams a bye after their international journey. It’s early, but likely necessary.
Week 6
Dave: Buffalo (SNF)
Bryan: Miami
After a month away from Acrisure, the Steelers return home. We just don’t agree on the opponent or the time slot.
Week 7
Dave: @Cleveland
Bryan: @Los Angeles Chargers
Bryan points out he Steelers have been trekking out West a lot in mid-October in recent seasons, but Dave wants to spread out the AFC North games.
Week 8
Dave: @New England
Bryan: Green Bay (SNF)
It’s the first disagreement in road vs. home. Bryan thinks this is what the Steelers were hoping to secure, a game against Green Bay at home again after hosting the Pack in 2023. Dave isn’t ready for this matchup yet.
Week 9
Dave: Miami
Bryan: Seattle
Bryan likes the DK Metcalf reunion on a Sunday afternoon at the midpoint of the system. Dave wants to squeeze in the Miami game before the NFL makes the Dolphins potentially play in cold weather.
Week 10
Dave: Green Bay (SNF)
Bryan: @Cincinnati
Dave has Bryan’s big matchup coming two weeks later. Bryan is following the pattern here with Cincy in November and December as it has happened quite a bit in the past decade.
Week 11
Dave: @Cincinnati (MNF)
Bryan: @New England
Dave has the Steelers hitting the road for a prime time AFC North matchup while Bryan has one of those filler games with a calm game before the insanity starts.
Week 12
Dave: Seattle
Bryan: Baltimore
Now for the madness. The Birds right before Turkey Day. Why not get bruised before a Holiday game?
Week 13
Dave: @Detroit (Thanksgiving)
Bryan: @Detroit (Thanksgiving)
We both agreed to spoil it. Both 83 and 98 were not good for this matchup, hopefully the third time is a charm with no overtime or a coin-toss controversy.
Week 14
Dave: Baltimore (TNF)
Bryan: Cincinnati
Dave thinks the Ravens will play the prime time game on Thanksgiving and then have both teams meet one week later on full rest. Bryan went with a different AFC North team coming off the mini-bye.
Week 15
Dave: @Los Angeles Chargers
Bryan: @Chicago
Dave wants to see the Steelers get their West Coast trip after a mini-bye. Bryan thinks this game needs to be played in frigid temperatures on a Sunday.
Week 16
Dave: Indianapolis
Bryan: Buffalo (SNF)
Bryan likes the Bills in prime time as well, but thinks it fits better in December. Dave was trying not to make the Steelers end-of-the-season stretch not as brutal as last season.
Week 17
Dave: @Baltimore
Bryan: @Baltimore
A tough test with loads of implications against bitter rivals is smart programming.
Week 18
Dave: Cleveland
Bryan: Cleveland
This is the same two final weeks Dave predicted last year as it has happened in the past. Bryan has also has Cleveland due to the fact that Cincy/BMore is more attractive for the final week.
So there are choices for how we would like to see the schedule play out this season. Keep in mind we have only a 5.5% chance of randomly choosing just one of these games as being correct. Also, there are likely flaws in our schedule based on things with the Steelers opponents. Obviously, the NFL puts a lot more time and effort into the schedule than what we did.
So which schedule did you like better? Were there any particular games that stood out in a good or bad way? Make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Any idea who has been tagged as the “home” team for the Ireland game? I’m wondering if that game will reduce my home game road trip options or not for this year. I’ll also jump on my soapbox here to once again complain that the overseas games are nothing but pure NFL greed and I hate them.
As for the predicted bye, I wouldn’t love a week 5 bye, but it would make sense to give the Steelers and Vikes the week off to recover from travel. Which means the NFL probably won’t do it.
Yeah, the reason we knew it was the Steelers playing for as long as we have is because they are the designated home team. It wasn’t until today when they announced who their opponent would be as the visiting team. Other than Jacksonville who has a contract to play overseas every year, the home teams come from the conference that has the extra home game that year (AFC this year). So the Steelers will have eight games in Pittsburgh, eight games as a visiting team, and one game in Ireland as the designated home team.
I can imagine a future where the NFL schedules 16 overseas game in a season, with the home team being from the conference with the extra “home” game. There’s seven games this year, only nine more games to go. It’s all about expanding the fan base / marketing base for the NFL, just as we’ve seen with the Premier Futbol League in the United States.
a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, since the 70’s the only team I worry about on this schedule every season is the Baltimore Ravens because the Ravens have Derrick Henry now the Baltimore Ravens don’t have Justin Tucker anymore that’s great one less weapon to worry about next the Detroit Lions are no longer a easy win anymore
The schedule prediction is always one of my favorite shows of the year! I think I’d enjoy that Thanksgiving game, though last years Christmas game wasn’t as fun as I hoped. Really like the BAD bears game before Christmas. I always like cold football. I like Dave’s colts pick in trying to not make the schedule as difficult as last year at the end. We’ll see if the NFL wants to help. Great stuff as usual guys. Go Steelers
