Steelers 2025 OTAs: The Latest Reports from Day 2 on Wednesday
The Pittsburgh Steelers have entered Phase Three of 2025 OTAs. With the first day of team activities coming yesterday, Tuesday, May 27, it was the first opportunity to see all the players together in 11-on-11 work. Even though it is just with practice jerseys and “football in shorts,“ it is still an opportunity to see these players in action. And even though the excitement of Day 1 is over, there is still information available about Day 2.
Looking for information as to what’s going on at OTAs, a compilation from various sources can be seen below. As more information becomes available, it will be added. The information in chronological order (as best as I can) with the newest reports at the bottom of the stream.

Broderick Jones said he’s slimmed down this offseason. He played last year at about 325 and is around 305 now.
He said that gives him a chance to gain weight during the season. Also should help him regain some mobility, which is the strength of his game.

New DB Darius Slay was at Steelers OTAs today after missing yesterday.
On the importance of being at OTAs: "Because this where you build, this is where it starts off. This is where championship football start at. … You want to be a champion. Some stuff you got to sacrifice."

Big year for Broderick in terms of evaluation. Wonder want prompted Herbig to say that about BroJo. Hoping that change to LT is the cure for his unstellar play.
Also, this may have been covered, but would Slay be eligible to count towards a comp pick in 2027 if he signs elsewhere next offseason?
Yes.
Thanks
I am sure the comments on the video of the running backs dropping passes were civil and full of nuanced level headed takes.
Reminds me of what Coach Noll told his son Chris when Chris started out as a waterboy, vis a vis novel colorful language.
The perfect time of the year for special teams to learn to stop head buttin’ their own kicker!
