Steelers Burning Question: Who are you looking forward to watching vs. the Jaguars?
Last season I did the Friday Night Steelers Six Pack and wondered if it was worth doing further. After all, interaction was not great, and sometimes you just have to adjust. So I decided to call an audible, and not just abandon the Friday night meeting of the black-and-gold minds.
Instead of six questions, I wanted to focus solely on one question.
We’ll still do the preamble of what you’re eating/drinking/listening to, but we’ll focus our attention on the one Steelers question of the week. Don’t worry, most weeks I’ll do a bonus/extra credit question for fun. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the question!
Of the players who are actually playing, which definitely limits the options on both offense and defense, who are you most excited to see vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in preseason Week 1?
Let’s break it down Offense, Defense, and Special Teams, and if you need a refresher on who is in, and out, the list can be found HERE.
As for the players I’m looking forward to seeing, that article will be out Saturday morning!
What say you?
As for what I’m eating, it’s a grilling night here in the house. Most likely steaks with some salad and potatoes…nothing fancy. As for drink, it’s going to be store bought kombucha and the the music will be some summer vibes with bands like the Wheeland Brothers, Dispatch, Sublime, Dirty Heads, and more on the playlist.
Happy Friday everyone!!
I was robbed of the guy I most wanted to see in game action with Will Howard’s injury.
Interested to see how Harmon, Black, and Kaleb Johnson do though.
Dinner tonight will be meatballs with fried squash and fried eggplant, with a shrimp appetizer. Only sweetened and unsweetened tea will be served as drinks tonight. We’re trying out homemade ice cream, it’s chillin’, now. Some family film is to be on, the last week’s music was a fail with the younger generation within the house. Disappointed.
Offense: Johnson
Defense: WHY-yay Black
Special Teams: Kickoff Returner(s)
WOW!!! Check out that dinner. I might invite myself to a seat at THAT table! <3
Much food, certainly. Mom wanted the meatballs. Kids wanted shrimp. Leaving dad for, vegetables. Dad may have ice cream tomorrow…
Roc Taylor and Max Hurleman
Strawberry Gin Lemonade and some Modelo later. Sauteed spinach, garlic and Feta quesadilla for dinner(maybe)
Probably won’t watch till second game of preseason.
Was really excited to see what Will Howard was going to bring to the field.
Like that quesadillas!
Love that lemonade!
On offense, Roman Wilson.
On defense, Beanie Bishop.
On Bishop, there is some thought that he has taken a step forward from what was a productive but inconsistant rookie season. Don’t here much about him. I’ve seen some speculation he could be cut. Seen other speculation he could be the guy on Nickel and/or Dime packages
I hope Bishop makes it to the roster. He had an up and down season last year but I believe he can make progress this year. Especially if he’s not expected to start. I’d be willing to let him play dime and get another year under his belt to see what he learns
I have no idea what dinner is going to be yet. But, as is my normal Friday routine, I was at the local Sun King Brewery at 3:00 PM this afternoon (it’s dang good to be retired!) and enjoyed a couple GFJ IPAs. I’ll figure out dinner later.
As far as who I am excited to see. I can take the easy — and exquisitely truthful — way out and say I am excited to see everyone play. But, if forced to pick one on each offense, defense & special teams, I am going with the following:
OFFENSE: Kaleb Johnson; Honorable Mention: Scotty Miller/Roman Wilson
DEFENSE: Juan Thornhill; Honorable Mention: Derrick Harmon
SPECIAL TEAMS: Cameron Johnston. Honorable Mention: Cameron Johnston
Miller vs. Wilson, nails.
Eating A juicy burger with a side of black beans, and coleslaw slaw.
Drinking lime seltzer to clear the palate for a few Dundalk Calling IPA’s after I walk Monster.
No music, watching science channel with my bride.
Who am I wanting to see? The entire O line, Yahya Black, Jack Sawyer, Kaleb Johnson. Very bummed out about not seeing Will Howard.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t very curious about Travis Hunter. I think he’s a little small for the NFL so I wanna see how he looks.
