Steelers Burning Question: Who benefits most from Aaron Rodgers at QB?

Last season I did the Friday Night Steelers Six Pack and wondered if it was worth doing further. After all, interaction was not great, and sometimes you just have to adjust. So I decided to call an audible, and not just abandon the Friday night meeting of the black-and-gold minds.

Instead of six questions, I wanted to focus solely on one question.

We’ll still do the preamble of what you’re eating/drinking/listening to, but we’ll focus our attention on the one Steelers question of the week. Don’t worry, most weeks I’ll do a bonus/extra credit question for fun. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the question!

With Aaron Rodgers now installed as the Steelers starting QB, there are a lot of people who will benefit from having his experience and expertise on the team.

Rodgers will benefit a player like Zach Frazier as the center. Frazier getting to understand what someone who has been in the league for 20 years sees from a protection standpoint will be invaluable.

Rodgers impact on pass catchers, mainly Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington, will be enormous for these two tight ends.

If I had to guess which player will benefit the most, I’d have to say Freiermuth. Freiermuth’s best season, not necessarily from a statistical standpoint, was his rookie year with Ben Roethlisberger as the quarterback. Having a signal caller who is capable of finding Freiermuth when necessary will be great.

This isn’t suggesting DK Metcalf won’t benefit, but I think the biggest benefactor will be “MUTH”.

What say you?

As for what I’m eating, we’re just having cold cut sandwiches as we don’t have a lot of time before going to our son’s night game. As for drink, it’s going to be store bought kombucha and the Spotify DJ playing!

Happy Friday everyone!!

Eating Cobb Salad, drinking Smithwick’s, listening to Marty Robbins. Largest benefactor is Mike Tomlin, largest player to be benefitted will be James Warren.

James Coburn was the man! The last movie I remember seeing him in was Maverick. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it. I find it an underrated gem. Very good cast with Mel Gibson, James Garner is, of course, in it too, Jodi Foster, Alfred Molina, and a host of other recognizable faces.

Drinking Cherry Lime Seltzer since I’m in a hotel room on the road for work.

Eating chicken salad wrap and potato salad.

No music, TV’s on whatever channel it was on when i turned it on.

I said before that I think Will Howard benefits the most from Rodgers, and I stand by that on a micro level. Looking at this from a wider view, I hope it’s Jalen Warren. I think, and really hope, Rodgers at QB loosens up the 8 man fronts we’ve not been able to crack for 5+ years now. If I’m right we could see a cascade of benefit, from O line, to a fresher D. There really is no better shot in the arm for an NFL team than plus QB play.
