Steelers continue to sign their 2025 NFL Draft class

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected seven players throughout the 2025 NFL Draft, and with Rookie Minicamp underway the team has started to sign some of these players to their rookie contract. Where did they start? How about the 7th Round, but they have continued to sign more players from the rookie class during minicamp.

The latest is 4th Round pick Jack Sawyer.

The Steelers also announced The signing of sixth round draft pick Will Howard.

Next to sign was 3rd Round pick Kaleb Johnson:

Last to be announced was 5th Round pick Yahya Black:

Since the NFL and NFLPA adjusted their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) over a decade ago to a slotted contract system, signing rookies is more of a formality than breaking news. No longer are rookies holding out for the most money possible. Instead, they become footnotes during spring workouts prior to training camp.

With more picks signed, here are who have signed, and who has yet to sign their rookie deals:

Signed:

ILB Carson Bruener (7th Round)

CB Donte Kent (7th Round)

OLB Jack Sawyer (4th Round)

QB Will Howard (6th Round)

RB Kaleb Johnson (3rd Round)

DT Yahya Black (5th Round)

Unsigned:

DL Derrick Harmon (1st Round)

As a big Penn St. fan, I don’t have a lot of good to say about Ohio St. but I will say I liked the Swayer pick, that guy is chiseled and looks like he just got out of the military, welcome to Pittsburgh Capt. Jack……..

As a Pitt grad, I also have little good to say about Ohio State, and I liked Mbow at four. Now I wish success to Sawyer and Howard, thanks to Roethliberger. Strange Days.
