Steelers make another roster move ahead of first preseason game
The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to shuffle their 90-man roster ahead of their first preseason game this Saturday night at 7pm EST in Jacksonville against the Jaguars.
When looking at the most team’s first released depth chart, there are positions which are dealing with more injuries than others. Defensive back, mainly cornerback, would fall into that category. With Joey Porter Jr. and Cory Trice Jr. dealing with injuries, the team needed to bolster the position before the first preseason game.
In doing so, they added defensive back Daryl Porter and waived tight end Kevin Foelsch.

For more on Daryl Porter, here is a quick synopsis from the Steelers official website:
Porter, the son of former NFL defensive back Daryl Porter Sr., was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. He was released during training camp.
Porter began his college career at West Virginia, before transferring to Miami where he was a two-year starter. He recorded 108 tackles during his college career, as well as 18 passes defensed, 10 of them during his time at Miami, and one interception.

Move was expected, due to CB injuries.
I really like how Kahn is constantly churning the bottom of the roster.
Yep. The chain is only as good as its weakest link.
