Steelers release their first depth chart of the 2025 season
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their first depth chart of the 2025 season. For anyone who has been listening to head coach Mike Tomlin about the initial depth chart in years past, Steelers fans shouldn’t put too much stock into this list at this time. But, it is a starting point and does give an indication as to what the team was expecting for the 2024 season.
While names on this list are bound to change over the course of the Steelers three preseason games, here are the players listed as the starters on offense, defense, and special teams with some additional notes given below.

Crazy that the cut and paste component and clerical error debacle was 3 years ago.
Anyways, I’m wondering if Roman Wilson is being treated as a rookie in his depth chart placement. For instance, we know darn well Kaleb Johnson and Yahya Black are not getting third string snaps.
The only thing I’m a little surprised at is Wilson starting over Holcomb. Although it does make sense with him coming off a terrible injury.
Also, I had no clue Leal was still on the team, lol.
In actual reps at camp, Wilson has been the clear starter opposite PQ at the ILB spot. He’s gotten most of the reps based on all the reports I’ve seen/read. He’s had a hell of a camp thus far too!
Stud. I’m really excited to see year two with him and Queen.
Payton Wilson is a stud.
It’s also significant that Leal completely moved to OLB and is not listed with the DL.
I am not sure. I think Leal will be looking for other employment opportunities. It doesn’t appear to be in the cards for him in Pittsburgh
JSegursky, sorry I blanked on your moniker yesterday.
Zero chance Holcomb plays over Wilson on my team.
