Steelers sign both 7th Round picks Carson Bruener and Donte Kent

The Pittsburgh Steelers selected seven players throughout the 2025 NFL Draft, and with Rookie Minicamp underway the team has started to sign some of these players to their rookie contract. Where did they start? How about the 7th Round.

The Steelers had two picks in the 7th Round, and both Carson Bruener and Donte Kent have now locked in their 4-year rookie contracts.

Since the NFL and NFLPA adjusted their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) over a decade ago to a slotted contract system, signing rookies is more of a formality than breaking news. No longer are rookies holding out for the most money possible. Instead, they become footnotes during spring workouts prior to training camp.

With these two picks signed, here are who have signed, and who has yet to sign their rookie deals:

Signed:

ILB Carson Bruener (7th Round)

CB Donte Kent (7th Round)

Unsigned:

DL Derrick Harmon (1st Round)

RB Kaleb Johnson (3rd Round)

OLB Jack Sawyer (4th Round)

DT Yahya Black (5th Round)

QB Will Howard (6th Round)

Any ST-like or 7-7-like work in rookie minicamp? Dumb question, I know. Sign up, work smart.
