The Pittsburgh Steelers are back, and that means it’s time to get you, the loyal fan base, up to speed on what is happening at training camp practice!
Can’t make it to St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA? Our goal is to help keep you up-to-date with everything that’s going on…as it happens.
Get the latest news on the “7 Shots” drill, as well as who might be showing out in the backs-on-backers drill each practice during camp. Don’t have a Twitter handle? Don’t worry about it! Just follow along as the news comes, and feel free to respond to the news in the comment section below!
Enjoy the news coming from practice, and be sure to stay tuned to Steel Curtain Network as we deliver the best, in-depth news surrounding the black-and-gold as the team prepares for the 2025 regular season.
With it being the first practice in pads it is possible the end of practice has to go on a second tracker. Today I will be ready to do a second tracker, hopefully just being post-practice reports and interviews.
Note: Newer tweets will be added at the bottom to give a better timeline for when viewing at a later date.
HERE WE GO STEELERS!
The temperature is expected to kiss 90 today at St. Vincent College, just as the Steelers' first live drill of training camp gets underway just before 3 p.m.

To a veteran WR like the Steelers’ Robert Woods, pads coming on for practice doesn’t make all that much of a difference pic.twitter.com/ELXoUIQ04P

Payton Wilson is pumped about the pads coming on today:
“I’m ready to play some daggum ball, hit Jaylen Warren a little bit, fly around, hit some O-linemen. This is what you look forward to.”
Why Warren specifically?
“Because he’ll be out there first.”

Steelers CB Cory Trice says he feels super healthy this year and feels this is a ‘take it or get lost’ year for him, and he fully intends on ‘taking it.’
Says he trained with T.J. Watt and study his training habits. this offseason.

Cory Trice described Jalen Ramsey as a 'reserved, but funny guy' who will help the young corners out whenever they ask questions behind the scenes.
Donte Kent said growing up, Ramsey was his favorite CB to watch, and it's a bit surreal now being his teammate.

We've got some very dark clouds overhead just before the start of the Steelers' first padded practice. Very possible that rain is going to come down here soon.

Broderick Jones not out here early. Calvin Anderson is in with the 1s at left tackle in walk thru.

“Backs-on-‘Backers” and the rest of the first-day-in-pads festivities are on hold and in jeopardy due to more inclement weather. pic.twitter.com/Ff6khKSBA2

Tuesday’s practice at @MySaintVincent has been moved indoors due to inclement weather in the area. The campus is now closed to all fans.
The team will resume its normal practice schedule on Wednesday.

When they go inside, the Steelers practice inside a gym, so that means no backs-on-backers, tackling drills, etc., for today. The team will likely have their true first padded practice tomorrow. https://t.co/OWNt0lsG3J

I really like these singular daily recap posts. Some other sites are creating a main post for each one; what a joke.
Keep up the good work!
Man I bet coach Smith is pumped he is going to get to see technically the first padded practice tomorrow.
Broderick Jones is supposed to be ready to go tomorrow.
BOOOOO!!
